    ### **Overview**
To help integrate what you are learning each week, as well as to help you illustrate your growing subject matter expertise, you'll complete a weekly blog-style post that focuses in some way on one or more of the topics covered that week.  Each post must be a minimum of 100 words in length (including the post title) with no maximum limitation.  They should be tailored to fit the personal/professional brand or expertise that you’re trying to develop.  Note that this semester, you'll upload the 8 posts for this course to the WordPress website that you’ll develop in your E-Marketing course.
Your weekly application posts should go beyond merely reiterating what was covered in the course materials. They should show your target audience(s) how to apply marketing concepts, techniques, or technologies to real-world problems or opportunities for which they have an interest.  Your posts can be serious, light-hearted, tell stories or experiences, give advice, offer critiques of marketing practices you encounter, make comparisons across companies or techniques, describe innovative marketing practices, predict the future of marketing, etc.  The key is that they must be (1) informative to your target audience and (2) pertain in some way to the week's material for this course.  Other than that, you have free reign.  Remember that the tone, style, voice, and mood of your writing is up to you, but you should always consider what would work best for your target audiences.  You may even decide to have a general theme to your posts, perhaps staying focused on a particular industry or region or marketplace.
    #### **Ideas for this week's Application Post**
Below are some ideas of topics or areas that you could write about for this week's materials. **Note that these are only prompts to get your creative juices flowing; you can use one of them or make up your own!** You can write about one of the the main topics from one of this week's modules or just a small mention of something that sparked your curiosity (or anything in between).  Remember, your post must be (1) informative to your target audience and (2) pertain in some way to the week's materials for this course.
    1. How can you use the “design with the end in mind concept” to form successful research plans? **and** – how can you apply this same concept to other aspects of your business?
    2. What types of research questions are better suited for qualitative vs. quantitative research?

    Assignment Prompt & Instructions

You will write a report on estimating how much are you most likely to earn after graduation. Below is the detailed instruction for you to complete the assignment:
    1. Select two to four Occupations that you are interested in pursuing after graduation. These should align with your major area of study (your major, majors, or major minor).
    2. Research and Collect Relevant Data: Below is a list of suggested data sources which are very helpful for your analysis. Please browse the websites and carefully examine the data provided. Use the data to gather relevant wage information needed for your estimates. You are allowed to supplement your analysis with additional reliable sources, be sure to cite all sources in your report.
BLS Occupational Employment and Wage StatisticsLinks to an external site.
BLS Wage Data by Area and OccupationLinks to an external site.
Earnings by EducationLinks to an external site.
ACS Detailed Field of Degree and Median Annual EarningsLinks to an external site.
Modeled Wage Estimates from BLSLinks to an external site.
CPS Data TablesLinks to an external site.
    3. Perform Analysis: Below is the instruction to guide your analysis; you don't have to follow the exact same sequence but you should at least include all the factors that are suggested to be considered (industry, location, education degree, major, age, and gender); feel free to discuss all the other factors that you believe important for your estimates. If you want to perform analysis that is different from the instruction, make sure to describe the analysis procedure clearly.
Summary Statistics: Present the wage distribution (by quartiles or percentiles) data for the chosen occupation(s). You can also directly go to the next step(s) if the wage statistics are based on industry or location, or areas of study, etc.
Determine how the wages vary by industry and locations (the metropolitan areas that you plan to work).
Analyze how your degree in your major (e.g., Economics) influences potential earnings.
Further adjust for other factors such as age and gender that may impact earnings in your chosen occupations.
If you believe there are other important factors affecting the wage estimate, please describe those factors and analyze how they affect your estimate.
Use graphs or tables to visualize the data where appropriate.
Regression analysis is optional but recommended. If you use regression analysis, please clearly describe the type of regression, dependent and independent variables.
    4. Estimate a Wage Range: Determine a wage range that you are likely to earn immediately after graduation for each of the occupations that you choose. The range should be specific and no more than 20% (e.g., if the minimum is $50,000, the maximum should not exceed $60,000). Present your rationale clearly how the range is determined.
    Structure of the Report
Your report should be structured as follows:
Title Page: Include your name, course title, assignment title, and date of submission.
    Introduction:
Briefly state the major tasks that you need to complete for the assignment.
Identify the occupations you choose to analyze.
Provide a brief overview of the factors influencing wages that you will explore in your report.
    Data Collection:
Present the data sources that you will use for obtaining the estimate.
Describe the data provided from the sources and explain why you selected them for you to estimate potential earnings.
    Analysis:
Present a detailed analysis of each occupation, including:
Wage data by location, education, and demographic factors.
Discussion of how each factor (location, education, demographic characteristics) impacts potential earnings.
    Wage Range Estimation:
Provide a clear wage range for each occupation (within the 20% limit).
Justify the range using the data and analysis provided.
Discussion: Summarize your findings and reflect on how your estimate aligns or contrasts with your expectations.
References: List all the data sources and references used in APA format.
    Length and Format:
Page Limit: The report should be between 5 to 8 pages, excluding the title page and references.
Formatting: Use 12-point Times New Roman font, double-spaced, with 1-inch margins.
    Grading Criteria:
Your report will be graded based on the following criteria:
Completeness and Relevance (20%): Did you address all aspects of the assignment?
Data Analysis (30%): Quality and depth of the analysis, use of data, and appropriate justification for the wage range.
Clarity and Structure (20%): Is the report well-organized and easy to follow?
Critical Thinking and Insight (20%): Demonstrates understanding of how different factors affect wages.
Proper Citation and References (10%): Correct use of APA format and citation of all data sources.
    Note:
This is an individual assignment, you are allowed to discuss with your classmates for the assignment, but you should write the assignment individually and the report should present your original work. Identical or substantially similar submissions are considered as plagiarism, which will lead to 0 grade of the submissions.

    ##### **Introduction**
Pain management is a critical aspect of nursing care that affects not only physical health but also emotional and psychological well-being. Nurses are uniquely positioned to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care by combining evidence-based pharmacological treatments with holistic and integrative approaches. These may include non-pharmacological therapies such as relaxation techniques, mindfulness, physical modalities, and complementary practices that honor patient preferences and promote healing from multiple angles.
    ##### **???? Case Study**
Mr. James Thompson is a 68-year-old patient recovering from abdominal surgery. He reports severe post-operative pain (8/10) and appears anxious and restless. His current pain management plan includes IV opioids every 4 hours as needed. Despite receiving medication, he continues to experience high pain levels and frequently requests additional relief.
Mr. Thompson shares several concerns: he feels “foggy” and constipated from the opioids, fears that side effects may delay his recovery, and expresses frustration that his pain and emotional needs are not being fully acknowledged. He also mentions that prior to surgery, he successfully managed his chronic arthritis pain at home using heat therapy and meditation.
    ##### **???? Discussion Prompt**
**Choose ONE** of the following four topic areas and respond thoroughly:
    **Identifying and Assessing Pain Types**
What type) of pain might Mr. Thompson be experiencing, and how would you perform a thorough pain assessment?
    **Integrating Holistic Pain Management Strategies**
Which holistic and evidence-based non-pharmacological interventions could be included in his care plan, and how would you implement them?
**Nursing Advocacy for Individualized, Holistic Care**
How can nurses advocate for pain management that addresses both physical and emotional patient needs?
    **Evaluating Integrative and Pharmacological Approaches**
What are the advantages and limitations of combining integrative therapies with medication in post-operative care?

**Discussion Thread: The Focus of Criminal Justice and Scripture**

The focus of the criminal justice system and scripture sometimes align but not always. Sometimes there are “competing perspectives” in the criminal justice system but there are certain “Biblical Perspectives,” as well, one of which is restorative justice.

Restorative justice focuses on restoring the victim by making the offender compensate the victim for the wrong and adding some punishment. Numbers 5:6–7 highlights this principle very well. "Say to the Israelites: ‘When a man or woman wrongs another in any way and so is unfaithful to the Lord, that person is guilty and must confess the sin he has committed. He must make full restitution for his wrong, add one fifth to it and give it all to the person he has wronged" (NIV 1984). There is also a secondary emphasis of reintegrating offenders back into society.

However, the topic of this course is Criminal Procedure. By nature, criminal procedure is “rights-based.” This is because much of the law comes from the Constitution, which was drafted to enumerate the powers of government. This limits government behavior to only those listed powers, but the Constitution also clearly lays out some rights (but not all) of states and citizens, particularly certain criminal procedure rights. As such, it can be said that criminal procedure focuses on the offender’s rights and government behavior.

Based on your practical and educational experience, what is the focus of the criminal justice system, restorative justice, or criminal rights?

Give specific examples. Can these seemingly competing perspectives be better harmonized?

This formative assessment focuses on teaching students how to conduct a preliminary risk identification and prioritization exercise within their healthcare organization. This activity will introduce them to the types of risks they’ll analyze in the final SWOT assessment and establish a foundation for more comprehensive risk evaluation.
    **Instructions:**
Conduct a preliminary analysis of potential risks within a healthcare organization, focusing on patient safety, operational stability, and quality of care.
    1. Choose two key areas relevant to healthcare risk assessment, such as patient safety, financial stability, staff turnover, or resource availability.
    2. Within each chosen category, identify at least two specific risks. For each risk, describe:
    – Why it’s relevant to patient safety, organizational effectiveness, or quality of care.
    – Potential impact on the organization or team if not managed effectively.
    3. Based on potential impact and likelihood, rank the risks you identified from highest to lowest priority. Briefly justify your prioritization choices, considering which risks pose immediate challenges and which may be more manageable.
    4. Write a reflection on how this exercise helps you understand the complexities of risk assessment and its importance in organizational planning and patient safety.

    Q1

Assume that as a music reporter for a newspaper, you have the opportunity to interview a Baroque composer for an article you are writing.

    · Choose a composer from the Baroque period.

    · Name the composer in your post.

    · Listen to two compositions written by that composer. Name the compositions in your post. (Note: You may choose a composer not discussed in this week's reading.)

List five questions you would ask and what you think the composer's answers would be. (Three questions should be related to music.) Include a link to an example of that composer's music in your response. Include a thoughtful subject line that reflects your main points. Initial posts should be well developed and demonstrate understanding of the course materials using information from the reading or other scholarly sources to support your ideas.

There are many times when professional communication is difficult. When we need to share information or manage a sensitive topic, conflict or share a criticism how we communicate can make all the difference.a) Choosing an example that exemplifies NOT being civil that you have observed or experienced, explain why it was not civil/appropriate and suggest ways the situation could have been handled differently. Note what actions could have been engaged to diffuse the situation and model civility in the fact of hostility. Be sure to change names for confidentiality.

Lets discuss what it means to enter someone else's story….not just being a Child Life Specialist, but being a part of someone else's story rather than our own during the most challenging of times.  Child Life isn't easy, and maintaining the balance of professional boundaries and self care can be challenging!  Keep in mind that when we do enter the stories of others, we are a part of their experience and need to maintain that focus on THEIR experiences.  How will you maintain the focus on the child's and family's experiences rather than your own?  What have you done, or how do you hope to maintain the focus on the family's needs during the most challenging of moments?  What boundaries do you think will be most beneficial to maintaining a professional role in child life?  And how did/would you maintain your own self care after stepping away from the situation?

[Benefits of Physical Activity](https://www.cdc.gov/physicalactivity/basics/pa-health/index.htm)) and share how these concepts directly relate to your capstone project. Temptations to lead a sedentary lifestyle combined with overindulgence of nutrient-poor foods and other poor habits such as related to technology often lead to health issues such as heart disease, high blood pressure, stroke, diabetes, cancer, sleep disorders, etc. Adopting healthy lifestyle habits is often more challenging than initially anticipated with sustainable fitness and dietary practices often taking time to show tangible results which causes many to search for a quick fix. Please cite some specific studies regarding lifestyle changes necessary to meet and exceed recommended physical activity guidelines within your capstone final manuscript text and reference list using APA style.

    Q9

Please pick 2 of the topics below and discuss, based on the reading and your personal experience (if applicable), how those topics impact children.

    · Military families

    · Foster parents

    · Adoptive parents

    · Child maltreatment

    · Child maltreatment

    · Stepfamilies/Divorced

    · Gay/lesbian families

At the end of each class, you should evaluate and reflect upon what you have learned and how that information will help you in your future.

    Q10

We are now in the final week of the course. Please identify one staff position associated with sport and recreation facility management that you would want to be part of. First, list the title of that specific position. Next, identify and describe the duties involved with that specific job title. Then, explain if this is a job you would consider doing in the future? Why or Why not? Please review your classmates post prior to responding and attempt to use an original job title in your response.

    Q11

Discuss some of the reasons why we include methodological theory in our research?  What purpose does it serve?  What role do inquiry paradigms play in research? Your posts this week should demonstrate critical reflection upon the assigned readings.

    Q12

Discuss the key elements of positive and proactive communications that are missing in the below scenario and any other aspects of the situation you feel need to be corrected (and why). Also, complete any tasks within the scenario

    (A). One-on-one supervisor with employees
Your peer (a first-line supervisor at a major retail store) is conducting a performance evaluation of a subordinate in the break room, where numerous other employees are eating lunch. Your peer is raising their voice and noticeably frustrated with the employee. The employee is attempting to defend their position but it is obvious your peer will not let them get a word in edge-wise. You notice numerous other employees shaking their heads. You decide to approach your peer (also a friend) and address what you saw. What do you say?

    (B). Supervisor to a team
You are a team member on a major project for a defense contractor. Your supervisor has just called an "urgent meeting" to discuss the current problems with the project's progress. The project is months behind and slightly over budget. Most people feel it is due to the lack of resources (your project is the third priority). The meeting is in 30 minutes and you have no additional details as to the meeting content. Your supervisor routinely calls meetings with little or no warning and then expects various employees to brief their portions of the project. When employees cannot brief their sections, the meeting is often canceled and rescheduled for after normal working hours to allow "time to better prepare (words of your supervisor)." You have had enough; you decide to email your supervisor and recommend a better way to conduct the meeting.

    (C). Supervisor with a manager.
You are the manager of a department at the local shipyard. You have 7 supervisors that work for you and run the day-to-day operations of your six divisions. One of your supervisors continually disrupts planning meetings to discuss personal problems within their division. They dominate the meeting time and often no one else gets to talk. You have talked to him and counseled him several times about the proper time and place to discuss the specific division and worker problems. Your friend (a manager of another department) recommends that your move the supervisor to a less challenging division or have the meeting without him. What are you going to do? How? Why?

    Q13

    · Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of project management for planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
![A cell phone with money in it AI-generated content may be incorrect.](https://www.sweetstudy.com/questions/questions-20946051)

    · Discuss the increasing use of using a work breakdown structure- include the advantages and disadvantages

    · Which of the project management limitations do you think will have the biggest near-term negative impact on the growth of project management? Please provide reasons to support your answers.

    · Based on your readings why do you think project management techniques are successful?

    Q2

There are many times when professional communication is difficult. When we need to share information or manage a sensitive topic, conflict or share a criticism how we communicate can make all the difference.a) Choosing an example that exemplifies NOT being civil that you have observed or experienced, explain why it was not civil/appropriate and suggest ways the situation could have been handled differently. Note what actions could have been engaged to diffuse the situation and model civility in the fact of hostility. Be sure to change names for confidentiality.

    Q3

You must start a thread before you can read and reply to other threads
